It gives a reach advantage; It has the element of surprise. It is already in your hand ready to be deployed. It is a force multiplier. It eliminates you to go hands on. It lessens the possibility of any collateral injuries. It is safer for your designated security people.

Do not misunderstand me as there are times when an armed properly trained team is the only way to protect everyone and the church, but it is not the only way is some circumstances. Again, that is why you need a graduated response option. The cane is ideal for that. Cane training is easy and simple to learn.
