Tom being presented with the very prestigious award from the Richmond Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart for his tireless work training disabled Veterans how to use the walking cane to protect themselves.
Tom at the memorial wall located at James Howard’s house. This wall holds over 7,040 names of Veterans that have given their life fighting Terrorism since 911.
On February 14, 2022, The Hunter Holms Veterans Hospital Richmond Virginia unveiled some very special and meaningful murals. Depicted on these murals were five Veterans including two nurses. I was honored to be one of the Veterans chosen. I was representing all Vietnam Veterans and acknowledged for the Cane training I have been doing with Disabled Veterans. At this unveiling we were also presented with a Quilt of Valor for our service to this great nation.
